But all these payments make me worried and are a big problem for our family.Stress Job Loss and Unemployment Stress While the stress of losing a job can seem overwhelming, there are many things you can do to take control of the situation, maintain your spirits, and find a renewed sense of purpose. I know that there are people with bigger problems, even struggling for food, and fighting this sickness. But really don’t know how long we can keep this up. Right now we only have one car, we could sell it but would get little money for it, and then we would have the problem of how we would get to the flea market(where we sell stuff and cinnamon rolls) if someday they open again.įor now we are juggling with payments, even though we are behind we try to make at least some payment to all our debts. But because of the quarentine limitations, we can’t do much, I was thinking of trying to sell what I bake and will do it in the next few weeks, hopefully this can help a little. So as you can see there is not much more where we can cut back. I know just get rid of it, but it just isn’t in our hands, every house that was built there has to have a landline. We have kept it mostly because it is a requirement of where we live, but we are going to cut it all the way down and just keep it but at the minimum cost of not using it. We still have a line phone bill which includes internet and cable, but are going to get rid of this payment probably this month. But there really hasn’t been much of a difference.
#WHILCH BILLS TO PAY IN JOB LOSS TV#
Haven’t seen TV just in order to not use electricity.
We have been trying to cut down on our electric bill, keeping lights off, and electronics disconnected. And that would mean having to talk to my boss and see how they would pay me since right now they do it by deposit.

The only thing I wouldn’t be able to use a checking account because they would have a restrain. I think they can only do it one company at a time, but I have to follow up on that, and see if maybe it is best for the companies to do that if I can keep the amount needed for our mortgage. We also live in a country where if the credit card companies don’t get their payments they can take you to court and get an order for taking the money from your salary, until you pay the amount you owe. And no matter how much I stretch it, it just isn’t possible. And the rest has to pay credit cards, electric bills and food. So we have to keep paying mortgage, which is more than half of our income. And we can’t rent a house because of our 7 rescued pups, nobody will let us move in with the pups, and no they won’t get left behind, they are family. And believe me if we could we would, but we don’t have the money for a down payment on another place. I know most bloggers and frugal groups would say move to a smaller or cheaper place. We have been paying it for 10 years, and still have 15 more to go. I am truly scared and terrified of losing our house. It has been 3 long months of waiting and wondering, and now we have gotten to the point of having to decide which bills get paid. In this country we don’t have stimulus checks, and we couldn’t apply for help from the government which was little help, but we didn’t make the cut. Even though I still have my job with that income, I have lost some part of it because I can’t travel to other sites and I can’t get per diem for those travels. I was always looking at sales on food that could stretch our money the most.īut then this thing happened in the world, and in the country where we live there have been so many restrictions, quarantine, shut downs, and this has affected everything and sales have gone drastically down for my husband. He didn’t find a job in his specialty but was given the opportunity to start selling car parts in order to make a profit. We started 2020 with a greater loss in income because my husband lost his job on december 30. We started the year 2020 trying to make a bit more income in order to be able to keep up with credit card payments, mortgage, energy bills, and food.
